3D Printing

The Prusa MK4 printer on a white background with spool installed

3D Printing is an additive manufacturing process that uses a molten plastic filament to slowly build up 3 dimensional objects on machines like the Prusa MK4.   Models are created in programs like SolidWorks or TinkerCAD that can export .stl files. They can also be downloaded from websites like Thingiverse.com. These .stl models are sliced in 3DPrinterOS to create .gcode which is the instruction set controlling the 3D printer.
